netgear wireless router bridge mode
Help setting up a home network?

I have a netgear DM111 modem from my isp. I'm trying to connect my daughter through my laptop connection Internet. Unfortunately, this modem only gives an IP address so that I can not connect the two computers (desktop and my laptop's) using my switch. I've been told to turn the modem as a bridge NETGEAR and the addition of a router configuration, I can get both computers on the network through a connection an internet. I have a Netcomm NB504 54Mbps Wireless Router with 4 Ethernet ports. Can someone please guide me through the steps of setting both the modem and router? Both computers are XP. Sharing the connection "to the internet through this computer" is not available for some reason. Thank you.

Leave the modem cable connected as it is. Put a network cable from the cable modem to the WAN port on the wireless router. Then be able to connect multiple computers through 4-port Ethernet and / or through a wireless connection.
