Without access to Internet Using Router hard wired or wireless connection?

I've been very frustrated trying to work to gain access to the Internet. I avoid error "Media Disconnected" can not contact DHCP server. I've even set in the Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) properties such as obtaining a IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically. Even went so far as turning off power to the NETGEAR Wireless Router and make a connection from the Motorola hardware Surfbound Ethernet connection using the modem directly to the ethernet on the laptop. I'm still not able to access Internet. I reset my NetGear WGT624 numerous times, but have no access to the Internet. What recommendations do you have?

Sounds like the connection Network computer to the router is wrong. With everything on and connected check your network connections and see if it says LAN is connected, I bet not, and can then try to right click and select Repair. Cross your fingers, perhaps it goes.
