Netgear wireless router WGR614v7?
I bought a net gear wireless router WGR614v7 and it didn’t come with a installation cd but a net gear paper telling me that “The current installation guide and software may be downloaded from the NETGEAR website http://www.netgear.com” I went to the website and cannot find any installation software. Does anyone know where I can find it.
You normally don’t need installation software for a router. The guide will probably help. I Googled “Netgear WGR614 manual” and got this link: http://kbserver.netgear.com/pdf/wgr614v6_ref_man_20Apr05.pdf
The default login is http://192.168.1.1, default login: admin, default password: password.
From there you should be able to configure your router. All routers are web-based.
