netgear wgr614 help !!?
i hooked my wireless router to a different pc, and now i cant even use internet by lan. i check the router ip is 192.168.1.1
and the Ethernet ip is 192.168.1.2. i tried to change ip but it dont work ???
my computer does not have wifi i just want to use wired
normally, if you are using the lan ports on the router, you can use the internet without any further connection changes. I use mine as a standalone and hook up via wireless. Occasionally, I use the network cable to connect another pc to it. Sometimes I find that you have to disable and enable the Local Area Connection under netwrok connections. If you don’t see the LAC icon as “connected” you cannot connect to the internet.
Netgear has not many problems and sometimes restarting the pc, AFTER you have connected the router and connected to the internet, can solve your problem.
