Wireless Internet Connection Sharing?

I have a Netgear router and I am currently assigned an IP address of 192.168.0.x When I try to enable ICS on my computer a message appears saying an error occurred while ICS was enabled. Internet Connection Sharing can not be enabled. A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address required for automatic IP addressing. Now I think the problem is that I am not being assigned an IP address that ends in 192.168.x.1. The only problem is that I have the router IP as 192.168.0.1, and when I try to make my IP address, 192.168.1.1, which is out of reach. I can not change the range, either as the error: Please ipconfig / release and ipconfig / renew and enter the new IP in the browser to access the GUI again if LAN IP subnet change. I tried to enter this command, but still I can not change the range of 192.168.1.2. The current range is 192.168.0.2 through 192.168.0.254. Help would be appreciated.

It sounds as if you have not set the range of IP addresses that can be assigned in DHCP. Find the router's DHCP features. There you should be able entering the ranges you want to assign. Good luck!
