Edition Windows Remote Desktop – The connection problem?
I control my XP Pro SP2 desktop PC remotely from my work XP Pro SP2 Notebook PC. When I say remotely, ie from a different room in the house. My desktop is connected to my wireless router via a cable and my laptop connects to the wireless router wirelessly. My desktop has a user ID and password set and is part of a working group. The "allow this computer to be controlled remotely" box is checked. My laptop runs a Novell client and is part of a domain. When I try to connect remotely, I enter my user ID and password and desktop ip address of my desktop (as in the devices shown in my netgear page router admin). My domain laptop appears by default I just delete it. When I connect my click, see a black screen with the icon indicating the top center remote machine, but immediately a dialog appears saying something like "remote control over team." Any idea what might be wrong? Thank you very much beforehand.
Has the remote assistance on the computer? , Right-click My Computer go to Properties, then click "Remote Assistance" Brand assistance Remote is enabled. You should also check the firewall on the remote computer, and indeed in his not blocking "Remote Assistance." Control Panel / Windows Firewall.
