No signal from Wireless Router – Help Please?
We recently moved and lost the login name/password to our Netgear 54 Mbps wireless router (model appears to be WGR14 v. 7?). I went to Netgear’s website and did the reset back to factory settings…and no I’m getting no signal at all.
I attempted to call Netgear, but since the router was bought over 90 days ago, they refuse to give online support. The site is somewhat hard to navigate and I’m not sure what to do.
I have a desktop which is on a different story from the router, so direct connection isn’t an option (assuming it even has that feature).
I was getting a perfect connection before and our second computer (a laptop) didn’t lose the password and the connection was fantastic. As soon as I did the reset, I get no signal at all and the only icons on the router lighting up are power and the “i” with a circle around it.
Sorry, I’m technologically inept when it comes to anything not related to software. Any help please?
Although you can’t get online support, Netgear routers have a two year warranty. Get an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) & return it for a replacement.
