I can’t change my Netgear routers nat type to open?
When I type in my ip address to access the information I need to change the nat type to open it says I need to type in the username and password. So I type in the name that it appears as, as a wireless connection and type in the password required to access the wireless connection. But for some reason it won’t login, why is that and HELP!??!?
Which username/password are you entering? This should be the administrator credentials for your router, not the username/password for your internet connection.
The default administrator credentials for Netgear routers are
admin
password
unless you’ve changed them. If you haven’t changed them, you are strongly advised to do so because otherwise anyone can log into the router and lock you out.
