How do I set up a password to login to my wireless internet?
I have a Netgear wireless router, and I know how to login into the router. But when I get there, I have no idea how to set it up so it prompts me or others trying to log in for a key/password when trying to connect to my wireless. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!
Hi,
Once u login on to your router, On the left panel, click on wireless under setup category. Specify a name for u’r connection (optional) then Select WEP under security, u will be prompted for 3-4 keys. Specify a key for any of a them (Thats the password for your wireless connection). then save settings this will restart the wireless part of the router. Then on your pc. right click on wireless connection -> view available connection-> select your network and click on connect. U will be prompted for key. enter the password and u’r set.
Note: Plz specify the routers model number to get more accurate answers.
