NETGEAR wireless router mr814 software?
Yah. i want some kind of management netgear wireless router. so nobody can steal my internet w Or tell me:) and I have not the cd, so can anyone tell me.
Assuming you are running Windows on your PC go to Start – Run and type CMD and press enter. When you open a command window (black box with a blinking cursor) type ipconfig. The results will show your IP and the IP to the router (gateway default gateway) itself. ie. Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection: Connection-specific DNS suffix. : Nycap.rr.com IP address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.101 Subnet Mask. . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway. . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.6 In my case, I would like to open my browser (Either Internet Explorer or Firefox) and type 192.168.0.6 and then asks for a username and password. Since you have a MR814 your user name and password of the user Passwordpassword is IDadmin Once connected, you can set up WEP (Wireless encryption) and lock the router. I would also suggest changing the password default as anyone can access your router and change the settings back to allow access to anyone if you like.
