Will my current Wireless Router work for online gaming with my PS3?
have a 1Mbps Cable Internet Connection.
I currently have a Netgear MR814 Wireless Router.
I have purchased a 80GB PS3 with buit-in wireless.
Will this router be quick enough to connect my PS3 to the Playstation Network and play with other gamers online?
If not, what would you recommend? If you recommend something please keep price in mind as well

I basically have to use the wireless connection. I have Cable internet that is only in 1 room of my house that is in the opp corner of the house where my PS3 will be located
Your router (802.11b – 11Mbps) is faster than your Internet connection so you wont get a faster connection with a quicker router. It should be plenty fast enough to play online games.
You will be able to share Music over the wireless you have with no problem but video takes a lot of bandwidth. If you want to play high def video from a PC media player you really want to use the wired 1000Mbps link. The fastest speed supported by the PS3 wireless is 54Mbps(802.11g). The router you suggest will support speeds upto 100Mbps, but will only work with the PS3 at 54Mbps.
