can i use wirless adapters?
i have got a wireless laptop ‘COMPAQ presario R3000′ with ‘windows xp’ and a desktop pc but not wireless with ‘vista’ which connected to internet by ‘Ethernet/USB ADSL router’ which is ‘ZyXEL P-600 series’.
i am wondering if i buy ‘NETGEAR wireless-N loptop & desktop pc adapters’ not ‘wireless router’ and then i connect the adapters to my desktop pc USB port, can i use the internet by my laptop too.
all you need is a adsl router and you physically wire it to your desktop
the router has a modem in it when you have configured the router
leave the desktop wired and you will then be able to connect wirlessly on you laptop see this link it will help you understand
