Wireless Internet Motel?

I'm still looking for the best solution for wireless Internet access Motel. Describe the business-motel have a modem and a Netgear WPN824 wireless router and two blocks of LAN connection. Currently the motel business opportunity four computers and one fifth computer (server) and the whole network together. Security is necessary to protect the business and customers. Business is concrete construction, except walkway is open. Construction storeage is two high. Firewall Router default setting is to switch to Access or modem to the server to switch to Access Points. Many people said that they needed Windows Server OS and others you can do without the server. Why you need PC Server? Is it possible with the first step? What about the connectivity? I'm sure nobody will be using all 12 access points simultaneously. Please someone help me with the correct answer.??

Hotels, motels, apartments and need more than just "off the shelf" AP that most home users are familiar with use. Proxim, Motorola, Tranzeo, AirEpoch are not normal names for home users (home of Motorola, but not commercial) These companies represent access points to isolation which means that users have a registration screen to enter a user name and password, and once validated in the system is then allowed access. The good part is that access alone is a connection. No other user is neither the "LAN" to be seen! That is the safe and SMART to connect to these places. Otherwise it ends to connect to their users, (Even with a separate subnet!) Or connect users and users of LAN that is what you really do not want! I would suggest using some such as access points. You really should only need one for each floor (maybe not even that all depends on many antenna placement) Try eBay for Proxim / Orinoco AP2500 (price now $ 100 or less) will allow the two radios per AP with remote control antennas can easily cover a full "wing" that really not isolate users and to allow web based management screen to configure user names, etc. You can use the room numbers, etc for that if like. When the user opens a browser window to see a "Page name" after validation will be your normal home page. If you can not find 2500 AirEpoch use the hotspot gateway. It even has multiple WAN connections for you. http://www.echotechwireless.com/AirEpoch_HGW210_E_Hotspot_Gateway_p/hgw210-e.htm You can get a good external antenna http://hyperlinktech.com etc. We used these for up to 300 rooms (including a 2500 for 100 users) – can be in all at the same time, and even can set bandwidth limits per room! We use wireless return trips "to the PA so that you do not passing the tube to the PA itself can also use any good "Hot Spot" the driver software for other systems if you want to "roll your own" Linksys even has a few more commercial-grade enterprise routers with built in hotspot controllers. These will keep your users and your LAN secure from each other. With the configuration of these is DSL Router —- — LAN and AP The good part is that other network configurations AP FULL isolated and then isolates each wireless user! You will need a lot of bandwidth DSL 3-6megs min. Sometimes we use two or three lines when you can not get one to supply enough. No servers are involved in the PA to do it for you. Do not try to be cheap – get it right you and your guests will be glad you did and the return is worth it.
