Connecting a netgear wndr3300 to xbox 360?
I just bought a Netgear wndr3300 Wireless dual-band N router. I have set a custom SSID and WEP password. As well as disabled the SSID broadcasting. I have a Pelican wireless gaming adapter for my 360.
I’m having trouble connecting to the network. I’m trying to figure out if the problem is because I am hiding the SSID broadcasting. I have manually assigned an IP address to the 360 as well as set a reserved IP for the 360 on the router. Does the wireless adapter not recognize a N channel? I have also tried setting a port forwarding.
Other settings on router:
Mode: Up to 270Mbps at 5GHz & 54Mbps at 2.4GHz
11N channel: 44/5.220GHz
11G channel: auto
It doesn’t use Wireless “n” but it will connect via “g” which you have enabled anyway.
I’ve tried with the same problem on my stupid cheap router – you simply have to broadcast the SSID.
