My wireless internet will not work?

I just changed from DSL to cable modem and now my wireless internet will not work. Is there something I have to do in order to do this? MY computers can both see the wireless netgear port but they cannot find the internet.. Even when I hook directly to the wireless netgear device the internet will not work. DO I need a special router for cable modem?

Try this:

Turn off the computer, unplug the power to your router and modem and unplug the coaxial cable from the modem in this order. Leave it like this for about 3 to 4 minutes. Then plug the coaxial cable back to the modem and plug the power back on the modem. Wait for approx 2 minutes and then plug the power to your router and wait another 2 minutes. After that turn on your computer and check to see if you have internet connection. That will solve most of your problems.
