help setting up wireless router please?
I need to know how and where I can download a copy of Smart Wizard for NETGEAR DG834G a v3 (which is the model number) on orignal router for AOL, but I need to know if it will work with Tiscali I am running a laptop and need to be through Wi-Fi
Hello Chris, given a look at the following URL: http://www.netgear.com/Products/RoutersandGateways/GWirelessRouters/DG834G.aspx I'm sure you'll find a link to download the SmartWizard you need. As for the configuration of your wireless router is fairly easy – if you are Cable Internet, which can literally plug the Ethernet cable from your modem into the WAN port on the new router. If you are on a DSL connection, installation is a bit more complicated. You will have to go to the web administration front-end. Connect an Ethernet cable from your computer in one of the ethernet ports on the back of the router, and find the front door, go to Start -=> -= Settings> click Network Connections -=> Make the connection active current and find the Gateway in the properties menu under "Status." Then type in the general direction (http://192.168.0.1) or (http://10.0.0.2) and enter the credentials user is in the router manual. Then basically follow the setup wizard in the administration page, if you require a username and password to connect to the Internet, consider the quest for PPPoE settings and put the information in that country.
