Help! My Netgear Router (wgr614v7) speaks chinese and I do not.?
I just bought a refurb’d Netgear WGR614v7 wireless router and it’s language is chinese (other encoded language options are no help either). How can I update the hardware so it speaks English (I can’t even get past the configuration screen to download firmware updates)?
Have you tried doing a hard reset on the router? Take a paper clip and push in on the little hole on the back for 10 seconds I believe and that will reset the router to it’s defaults.
If that doesn’t work, your best bet is some kind of translator. I use translate.net http://translateclient.googlepages.com/index.en.html for that. Works well and it’s free.
