netgear wireless router username and password

How to configure Netgear (Virgin) Wireless Router WGR614 v9 – password not accepted?

I'm trying to change the configuration of WPA to WEP, but the user name and password are not accepted. I've tried using the user name and password you did when I set up my router, and also the administrator default password, but constantly rejected. Any ideas?
