How to install a Netgear WGR614 wireless router.?

I’ve been given a Netgear WGR614 wireless router. It’s originally a Sky broadband one (the white one). All I have is the router, phone cable & power cable. I’ve tried to set it up with my wireless laptop, it finds the router in the next room but has no signal.

Do I need a driver? How can I access it and set it up.

I’m on Tiscali broadband.

Open IE Browser & type http://192.168.1.1

and then username is admin & password is admin (by default it is)

First of you need to wright down some information from your ISP side & your DSL modem.

And that is:

Your your ADSL modem IP address
192.168.1.1 (by default)

ISP Info like your username & password for your broadband

ISP DNS IP addresses (ask your ISP)

Default Gateway : auto (by default)

After then

And go to setup menu

then create LAN setup and new PVC (permanent virtual circuit PPPoE)

and type your ISP username & password

save your setup and restart ADSL modem

now your ADSL is always on. You just start power on & rest will done itself.
