HELP!!! Trying to connect AT & T high speed internet to Netgear wireless router WGR614 v6?

I’m working without the CD, but have all the manuals, and guides from online, and I’ve hooked all cables according to specs, but I’m having difficulty getting to the online router setup wizard. It only goes to the Netgear support page, not the Smart Wizard page, What is the deal? Can anyone help with step by step instructions. If you need more detail, let me know. Any help is appreciated!!! The goal is to have my Wii online by Friday!

Does your ATT use a router or a DSL modem? If it is just a modem you do not have to do anything with it. If it is a router it will need to be set in bridged mode before doing anything else. ( Contact ATT to do this)
If it is a DSL modem, The easiest thing to do is stack your IP addresses. Normally the DSL modem is on 192.168.0.1. You cannot get to the smart wizard page due to your netgear router being on the same IP Address.
Unplug your ATT Modem and then Connect the patch cable from your PC into on of the 6 ports on the netgear. Set a static IP address on your PC to 192.168.0.3. Then Launch Internet explorer. If it does not go to the smart wizard, go to 192.168.0.1. This will get you to the router login. Once Logged in, change the Routers IP address to 192.168.0.2. Reboot the router.
Reconnect dsl modem to the router and the PC to the router. The router is now in a different IP address and you can still access it in IE by going to 192.168.0.2. This will allow you to configure the router.
