Troubleshooting wireless router?
Netgear wgr614 v7, I have Roadrunner cable internet, I plug in the ethernet cables and I have no internet. plug it back into my modem and have internet. The wireless led blinks, internet led is solid orang and LAN1 led blinks help please. trying to connect my wii
Read the directions that came with the Netgear router or contact Netgear for support.
In general
1. Successfully connect a computer to a LAN port on the Netgear router. Follow the directions for initially setting up the router through a web browser. Your computer will likely obtrain an IP address from the router (typically 192.168.0.2) and you will configure the router through a web browser (typically to http://192.168.0.1). You’ll need to check your Roadrunner account to determine if you need to do anything special (PPPoE or some type of username/password in the router).
2. Power down the Roadrunner modem and leave it off for a few minutes. This allows Roadrunner to forget about the hardware address of the computer you had connected to the Roadrunner modem before. If you just swap the router for your PC with the modem running, it probably won’t work.
3. Follow the Netgear instructions for connecting the router to the cable modem. You typically connect the ethernet port of the modem to the WAN port of the Netgear router.
4. Power up the Roadrunner modem, then the Netgear router.
Again, follow the instructions for your Netgear router to confirm it obtains an IP address from Roadrunner.
