I have a netgear router WGR614v7 and i cnat set it up?
all plugged in all the cables the Ethernet in to the internet and the other Ethernet that came with the netgear to the pc i don’t get internet access and the wireless light don’t turn on neither that test one and the internet one stays amber and blinking it never stop how can i setup up the router i try talking w/ netgear but i did work i RTFM and it don’t help can anyone HELP MY PLEASE !!!!!
1. check that your ip is in the range of 192.168.0.—
go to control pannel – network connections – double click local area connection – tcp/ip – here is your PC ip. if u don’t find it type: 192.168.0.2
2. open internet explorer, in the address bar write:
http://192.168.0.1
this is the default ip address for the netgear router, and to “see” the router, your pc must be in the same network range.
3. if it prompt you for a user name & password (this means u did great so far), write : admin – password
these are also the default
4. once you’re in, u’ll find the basic settengs on the left – u have to call your isp for the settings. no one can tell you that.
