I just bought a netgear wireless router. i need the software for it.?
is there anyone out there that can help. I’ve already contacted netgear and they were unable to help me. I tried to download the firmware or software, but it does’nt work.
the model of the router is: netgear WGT624 v2
please if anyone can help, please do.

i got the router from craigslist. i thought i could just go to netgears web site and download the software. they no longer have it. I just want to know if there is anyway around it or if someone has the same router and can send me a copy of the start up disk.
Usually you do not need any software. If the router has a password and you do not have, you can reset the unit. There should be a reset buttom on the back of it, hold it for 30 sec. to reset.
Once you access the netgear setup page you can update the firmware.
