Problem connection via wireless?

Can anyone help?

I have a funitsu siemens AMILO li1718 notebook which has a built in 802.11 g wireless connection. I am running windows vista home premium service pack 1.

What happens from time to time is when I turn on the computer, the wireless doesn’t enable. It’s either meant to enable itself or when the wifi button is pressed (depending on the BIOS settings(. This problem occcurs in both cases. I was advised that it might be a firewall problem but I have disabled and uninstalled all firewalls and still the same thing happens. I have also reinstalled the wireless network drivers and this also hasn’t resolved the issue.

If anyone genuinely thinks they may be able to help that would be really great as it’s rather annoying at times.

I am connected via a netgear rangemax WPN824 V2 router. I do have the same problem when connecting other home networks as well.

Thanks very much

Scott

I have two suggestions you might want to try to pinpoint the problem. However, once you have pinpointed the problem, I can’t help you fix it. 1: It could be a problem with your computer, and you could test that by using your computer to connect to someone else’s wireless. 2: It could be a problem with your router, and you could test that by having someone else with wireless connect to your router.
