council flat panel TV: price reduction target?
3 flat panels that I'm considering: Samsung 50 inch plasma 720p-$ 799; 1080p-42 inch Magnavox $ 749, Philips 42 "1080p-$ 699's primary use would be to watch sports through HD channels and other programming Uversa in HD.
Magnavox and Philips are made by third tv economic levels manufacturer, Funai. Not recommended. Panasonic plasma is better for the Samsung, but of the three, go Samsung.
