Questions………1080/60P HDTV??
I have an “LG Plasma TV 720P 42 and a Samsung up-converting DVD player with HDMI. I was checking the resolutions ont TV, and even though my TV is only 720P, when the DVD player set to 1080p, the TV says it is showing in 1080/60P. What does this mean? 1080/60P Is it better than 720P? Where do they fit in 1080i this equation? The DVD player has a setting to 480P, 720P, 1080i and 1080p. Virtually tell me about the differance between 720P and 1080/60P? Be 1080/60P is not as good as 1080P, but im not sure how much better is worse ….. or how much better or worse as compared to 720P? I was doing some tests, and it seems that the adjustment is sharper than the creation 1080/60P 720P. Is it this true? My main confusion started when my TV, which is supposed to have started 720P 1080/60P say, I was under the impression that should have been Maximum 720P …….. I have the LG 42PG20 TV and the Samsung 1080P7 DVD player to convert.
The retailers usually list the resolution of the TV incorrectly. The important factor is the native resolution, which has no ipo suffix. The native resolution is the number of pixels that make up the screen physically. In the specifications section of the manual could include the decision as “native” or “number of pixels.” In your case, it seems included in the manual, but is displayed on your site as “Native Display Resolution” and is 1024×768. In this case, which is incorrectly listed as 720p or 768p. However, on the input resolution, which does not depend on the physical quantity of the pixels, which is dependent on the quality of the motherboard and the video processor. The specifications of the list of television 1080p input source and states can enter a whole 1080/30p 1080/60p and 1080/24p. Therefore, your TV can pick up a resolution 1080p, but scales down to fit 1024×768 pixels. No sources corresponds with 1080 pixel by pixel. For example, you could have a TV that has a native resolution of 10×10 pixels and 1080p processor put into it, but it will be horrible. Besides being a flat panel, it converts all incoming signals progressives, anyway. Therefore, it becomes a 1080i signal to 1080p de-interlacing through, then scales 768p to fit the screen. The quality of the image depends on the quality of the scaler and processor. Hope this helps.
