Buy in Canada vs. U.S.: PN50B650 Samsung 50 "1080p plasma?

Hello, I'm looking for a Canadian to buy a PN50B650 Samsung 50 "Plasma 1080p HDTV. I found it on Amazon.com for over $ 1,000 less than the best price we could find in Canada. I can have it delivered somewhere in the U.S. and lower to collect (I live very close to the border) and save me a lot of cash. However, I wonder what kind of problems that would have to own a TV I bought in the U.S. against which I bought in my country of origin. I think that all specifications are the same, so I am most concerned and the duty to guarantee (Paid at the border). Any help would be appreciated. I contacted Samsung Canada and have no idea. I tried to contact Samsung USA and their phone not working (or something) …

The problems only cost to put it on the border (which may or may not wish to include your time and effort and transportation costs to / from to the U.S. collection point), such as fees and taxes, and yes, customer service and warranty support, which for the latter means that you will be transported to the U.S. for warranty service.
