I used my ps3 on a samsung plasma and in the middle of updating, the tv doesn’t work and the screen is blank.?
Even after i removed the Ps3 the tv is still blank. I only left it updating for about 5 minutes since i noticed the screen suddenly disappeared.
Unplug your TV set for 5 minutes to reset the micro in the Tv set. A PS3 update will not affect the TV set, but it can affect the PS3.
Now if you were attempting to update the firmware on a TV set, and it locked up, THAT would be a different story. And it would be even WORSE if you were updating the TV with the wrong firmware, or updating it just for the heck of it.
Firmware for TV sets are designed to solve problems inherent in the TV set, they are not designed like Windows updates where you update because the update exists….
You update a TV set because it specifically has the problem listed….
