how much of a differance does 15000:1 contrast ratio make compaired to a 6000:1?

First, reset the video on BOTH TVs you plan on buying….
Then look at them with your own eyes.
They are the BEST judges for such an expensive investment.
Now, numbers can lie….eyes don’t.
And the problem with the numbers used, is the fact that there isn’t a really good STANDARD OF MEASUREMENT.
If you’re 68 inches tall and I’m 68 inshes tall…aren’t we the same height???
What is an insh? Get it?
Don’t buy the cheap brands….NO PARTS to repair them.
SONY still makes the BEST TV/LCD.
Stick with a KNOWN name brand like Hitachi, Samsung…..if you can’t do Sony.
Choose a 1080P LCD
And I hope to GOD you don’t have a little brother/sister that likes to bang TV screens…..
