setting up linksys wireless router with cable modem

help setting up my wireless router with usb?

hi i just bought a linksys wireless router and i notice my pc has no ethernet connectors so i’m wondering how to run it? i tried the install and it won’t read my wireless router with the usb connected so i’m not sure what to do….anyone got any ideas for me? by the way im using a cable modem to run this all through, im very confused

I am assuming you are wanting to connect via wiresless.

Try forcing the computer to connect to the router via the wireless connection. Many routers come as default, unsecured. If that cannot be done you are going to have to connect directly That means getting an ethernet connection to your computer, or using another’s computer to setup the router

There are USB to Ethernet adapters out there, or you can find a used ethernet PCI card for less than $10.
