setting up wireless router linksys wrt54gs
Is it possible to set up a wireless router to pass on it’s signal?

I’d like to set up an Xbox 360 connected to Xbox Live without purchasing a wireless adapter or running extra wire. I have a Linksys WRT54GS and what I’d like to do is have it pass the wireless signal to a BEFW11S4 which would be connected to the Xbox in the other room. Is this possible? Can anyone give me a suggestion of how to do it? Or a website with instructions?
I’m not so worried about lag. I’m more interested in downloading some stuff.
Please remember that the Xbox does not have wireless as a built in capability.

Possibly. I haven’t looked at those particular models (sorry; I’m on dial-up and don’t want to spend 3 hours just looking up model numbers), but you’ll want to set the router near the XBox up in bridge mode. Check http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Wireless_Bridge for more information. This page tells you how to do it with DD-WRT, an open source firmware replacement for many routers. Of course, it’s entirely possible the BEFW11S4 will handle it natively without any need for new firmware; you can do a google (or Yahoo!) search for “BEFW11S4 bridged mode” to find out.
