setup wireless router as bridge
I have a linksys that I what to use as just a “wire extension” of my current network. Wizard wants me online.

My main computer “Bridges” my home network to the Internet. I cannot place the BEFW11S4 between my computer and the Internet (pc card). My second computer hooked up through my home network router can access the Internet just fine. How do I setup the linksys and my laptop to just replace the wire vertion. PS several of my neighbors are apparently using linksys wireless systems that forced me to configure my wireless with a cable pluged into my laptop which prevents me for accessing the internet at the same time like the wisard wants.

the device you are mentioning here is a firewall device. If you are going to use such a device, it should be placed between the internet connection and the computer. Then the device will do the internet connection sharing instead of your computer.

For that device, I really don’t know any other way to set it up.
