Why is not my wireless router work with my ADSL connection?
Hello everyone … I recently moved, and I used to have cable internet in my old house. My wireless router was working fine, but now that I switched to dsl in this new place, does not seem to find a connection when I connect the modem in the … I've tried almost everything router … I tried to restart the router, unplug it for a few minutes, but nothing has worked … The wireless router I have is a Netgear WGR614. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
99% of the time the problem is the IP address assigned to the router. In general, DSL modems and routers Wireless use the same IP as 192.168.1.1, which does not work. Sign in to your router from your browser … probably http://192.168.1.1 and change the IP address assigned to router to something like 192.168.0.1
