Do I need a wireless bridge to connect my xbox to my laptop?
I have a wired connection between my xbox 360 and my router and a wireless connection to my laptop and the router. I want to run media center from my laptop via my xbox 360 using the extender function.
Does the Xbox need to communicate directly with the laptop meaning I will need to purchhase a wireless bridge or is all the data sent via the router therefore meaning the setup I have will suffice.
Your set-up will work as the router should see both IP addresses. In settings of the 360 obtain the IP address. From your PC open a command line and ping that address. If the ping is successful follow the tutorial on xbox regarding hooking them together.
