From Comcast to Verizon FiOS?
I am upgrading from Comcast High Speed Internet to Verizon FiOS. My currents comcast speed is 6/2mbs, and using an online speed tester was 10185 kb/s download and 1432 kb/s upload. FiOS is 15/2. How will this affect websurfing and xbox live? Does FiOS work well with xbox live?
Also, supposedly a wireless router and modem combination is included. Can I use my current wireless router (not modem) and turn off the wireless from theirs?
And last, I am also switching from Digital Cable from Comcast to FiOS tv. How does the tv quality compare with HD? Thanks
I want FIOS. It will be better. Cable you share with your neighbors. FIOS is like DSL which is a dedicated line (I believe). FIOS is fiber optic servics. It is blazing fast and your comcast only pulled speeds of that because your neighbors or that in the area were not using it heavily when you tested it. I would still rather have FIOS than cable (less latency, higher speeds, sexy bragging rights).
You can enable or disable wireless on any device that uses it. You can set it up how you wish.
Dont know the quality but I would imagine it would be roughly the same or you wont notice.
