wireless router cannot connect to internet

I cannot connect to internet with my linksys wireless router on my desktop but our laptop has no problem?

I’m wondering about the usb that I have in in the internet port. it doesn’t click in. Could I be using the wrong kind of usb cable? I need some troubleshooting tips because I’m ready to throw this router out the window.

You shouldnt be using a usb cable to begin with. Use a networking cable
