wireless router dhcp not working
BellSouth Fast Access DSL with a Netgear 824 wireless router passes the packets but does not work?

I have a friend with a BellSouth DSL works well with a hub connected to the DSL modem. Placed in a 824 NetGear wireless router. The connection seems to come, I can see packets transmitted and reception at the Internet port. When ipconfig / renew, I have no DNS name "loadmodem.com" as I do with the router out of the circuit. I get an address default gateway yet. I can ping the ethernet side of the router. I ran the wizard from the interface of the router and that is PPPoE – I put in user name and password in vain. Straigth tried DHCP and DNS provider, but no luck. Is it possible that I have to be activated bridge? Is there somewhere I need to enter 'Loadmodem.com? Other ideas? I just read online that you may need to spoof the MAC address of the PC to the router. I do not know if it checks the MAC Bellsouth direction or not.
