Buffalo wireless router problems?
I switched my computer off at the plug last night, when he went to bed (which is something I do often do not) and now occasionally when I'm browsing the Internet, the following message appears: The AirStation gadgets.live.com server requires a username and password. Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password will be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without secure connection). I read a Previous post in which he said here to set the root as the username and leave the password blank, but does not work. The Internet is working fine but seriously annoying to have it pop up every minute or perhaps even less. When I click cancel or disappear after three clicks. Any help, please! Ps I do not know my username or password, and if I do, I cannot remember as ive tried all possible combinations.
your only option is to enter the routers admin console to change this, if you really do not remember ever having the configuration of your ISP, etc can restore back of your router by default, but will have to reconfigure from scratch, this will reset the password too
