xbox 360 live, Wireless router?
Ok i just bought a xbox live and modern warefare 2. I love it, but i want to play live. I have a wireless router that is hooked up to my computer. It gave me the internet to play wifi on Nintendo wii. I was wondering if i can use that router to give me the live for my xbox. if i have to buy something please tell me
Good news and bad news…
1) YES, you can connect your xbox to the router and have access to the creamy goodness that is XBOX LIVE.
2) Unfortunately, you won’t be able to connect it wirelessly without picking up a wireless gaming ethernet adpt. Microsoft and Linksys both make them. Price range is about $40-$90 depending on where you get it. Otherwise, simply run a CAT5 cable from your xbox to your router.
Sorry but that’s just the way it is.
On another personal note…you don’t want to play wirelessly anyway…too much lag!
