wireless router from virgin media
Problem with my wireless router?

I use a Netgear router moving target, as well as the media of my Virgin broadband box. The other night, I lost the connection to both, so I phoned Virgin Media 3 times and were no help at all to be honest. I was told only to connect the Ethernet cable from the modem directly to my laptop to fix the Internet connection on a portable computer. The problem is I can not get the internet on my laptop and others, as there is a problem with my wireless router. I've tried almost everything, but I can not seem to figure out what the problem is. Can anyone suggest anything? Sorry, I mean you can get from the Internet directly via Ethernet cable to my moms laptop, but now I can not get in mine. I do not have two laptops to myself, really! haha.

Are you using MAC address filtering? If you use NETGEAR, the configuration of this should be under "advanced settings for Wi-Fi, then" Filter button access installation '(Once in routerlogin.com). Usually, when you try to add new devices (either from the 1st time configuration, or when you return to the configuration earlier due to some error), you have to disable option. * Sidenote: After (if you want to use MAC address filtering for security), which turn only once you have connected all devices that u want to connect to it first, then add then to the allowed list, and finally switch it on. * But for now make sure that your MAC address filtering (access list) is turned off, and the two check boxes in the wireless setup ('radio Enable wireless '/' Enable SSID Broadcast ") are both checked, and see how it goes.
