If I use a Wireless N router, will my xbox 360 behave as wireless a, b or g?
I know the wireless adapter for xbox 360 is only compatible with a, b or g…but I also think routers are backwards compatible? Basically, my landlord already has an a or b (I can’t remember which, I’m not there right now) router hooked up, but I have an N router laying around that I’m wondering if it would give me better speed/reliability. I try to stream my netflix movies to xbox, but the internet pretty much always has trouble keeping up and my movies are constantly stopping and downgrading to a lower quality.
I think G is better than both A and B, so would an N router with the 360 wireless adapter behave like a G router or what? Or is that not how it works at all…sorry if I don’t know what I’m talking about.
XBOX adapter is for wireless A/ B/ G. Your wireless N router is backward compatible to B,G and N. The only way it will do wireless A is if it is a dual band router.
