wireless router g or n better

Looking to buy Wireless N Router?

I want to upgrade to a wireless N router for my Netgear WPN824 v2 Wireless G router. My wireless router G is responsible for the coverage of my house very well, but did not get good speed and it is only a router G. I want to go to the N and I'm not sure if I should go with Netgear or go to a different brand, just because I've heard bad things About NETGEAR. Any help would be appreciated, please give me brands and models, so you can look in them. T Thanks!
