What is a good workaround for the loss of wireless internet access due to interference from wireless phones?
I have my apartment set up a wireless network that feeds on four computers. Sometimes the phone rings and either a) hit all the equipment out network without someone answering the phone or 2) all off-network hits once the phone has been answered. Generally, once removed outside the network, the router Wireless must be reset. I have used several brands of routers with the results of the leak network. Any ideas? (Apart from the systematic elimination of cell wireless home and its replacement by new ones)
I would go with ckas10 suggestion to move as far from the DECT cordless phone frequency by changing the WLAN channel that should at least limit the problem if you do not remove it competely. Also check to see if you can change the frequency of cell / channel. Cheers!
