I am connected to the wireless router …. but can not connect to the Internet …. does not display the IP address .. Help??!
I have a wireless router NETGEAR …. A laptop, two desktops …. everything has a wireless card / PCI card …. my PC 1 and a laptop is connected to the network fine …. my other PC (which was working a while ago) now shows you are connected to the router … but it says "acquiring network address" in connection wireless networking network of tasks …. showing your IP address 0.0.0.0 to 0.0.0.0 and the netmask sub?? assigned by DHCP …. What I do not connect the Internet again ???…. I'm stuck …. tottaly How I can assign an IP address for this draft … It was working yesterday and today, for some reason it is not?? any help is greatly appreciated! thanks
If an address of 0.0.0.0 is trying to communicate with the router's DHCP server. If you can not get an answer then DHCP is not working. I can think of few things so you can check: 1) make sure you have a link light on the PC, if not then there is something wrong with the cable or network speed settings 2) If that's good, maybe check and make sure they are not blocking the traffic on your PC. Is activated firewall? 3) Maybe your router is just stuck, try disconnecting and reconnecting. Hope this helps.
