Wireless router problem. Internet just stops for 10-20 seconds at a time.?
The problem is not with my internet. I am connected to a router through another wireless router. The other router is connected to the modem. The previous router had worked very well (though not wireless). This problem happened when I am accessing the Internet through wireless and cable connections. Actually I have no idea what the problem is at this point. Whether pages web load when they enter the premises and access to Internet remains the icon. This is becoming quite uncomfortable, as it is happening to each minute and a half or so. My router is a Belkin FD64230-4 v1. The routers are connected by ethernet, I do not think that's the problem. 1) wi-fi 802.11g has a maximum speed of 54 Mbps connection if it is within 40 feet of unobstructed access point. 2) If you are 300 feet distance is about 1 Mbps connection speed unobstructed. So to get the best performance you need to be closer to your access point. Also do not place the router near a microwave as the work in the same frequency microwave 802.11g 's 2.4 GHz ISM band and can interfere with the signal. 3) Also make sure the cable between the router and modem are safe.
