!!!!!?????? router HELP
ok so basically I was trying to find my wep key and I have a Linksys router strange doesn't have the key in it. I've tried to find out and screwed it all up. the model number is WRT54GS v.2 DNT, but I think it is the router. I think it's the network wireless. too bad you can say or exactly what I did to mess up. Presha i first start. then squeezed my setup wizard wireless network. Then I added a new bassically wireless wep key and changed the password. so now every time I get on my laptop it says limited connectivity or no treatment and repair of clicking, but when I says the renewal of my IP address could not be completed. What should I do?
Unable to choose WEP key on your laptop and wait for the router to accept it. You have to keep using the same key. Here's to find or set: First, connect to the router with an Ethernet cable. Enabling wireless router administration is an invitation for the router kidnapped. 1.Log into the router from the browser IP address (usually 192.168.1.1) 2.Go the Wireless tab in the first row of tabs. 3.Go wireless security in the second row of tabs. 4.There will four WEP keys. I think the number one is normally used, but the other three may also come into play. I suggest you copy and paste them in Notepad or Wordpad document so you can copy and paste it into any computer that needs them. Good luck.
