wireless router low signal strength

How I can move my wireless router?

I move my wireless router around my house because my upstairs of the signal is very very low. Is the wireless router HAVE to be connected to the modem to connect to Wi-Fi? or I have to pass both?

Yes, the wireless router must be connected to the modem. This is the only way to get connectivity. That said, try the following: 1. Move your wireless router as high as your can on the ground floor (on top of a bookcase.) 2. Can you move your settings (router and modem) upstairs and put the router in the lower to reach the stairs? 3. Purchase an access point and place upstairs. This will reinforce the top of the signal.
