what do these wireless internet terms mean? and what do they do?

i have a modem/router that has these terms on its webpage.
under wireless performance
These are the Wireless Performance feature for the AP(Access Point) portion.

Beacon interval: (msec, range:1~1000,default:200) i had it set at 100. what does this term mean? what would happen if i set it at 300 instead of 100

DTIM: (range:1~25,default:2) what does it mean? what value should i use to ensure best connection?

Hidden SSID: Enabled what does this mean?

RTS Threshold: the value i currently set is 2346. what does it mean and what value is appropriate for this?

Frag Threshold: the value i currently set is 2346. what does it mean and what value is appropriate for this?

b/g Mode: it has four options: b only. g only, mixed, b+can you explain its functions?
