Why won’t my router tell me my network security key?
Okay. I have DIR-300 D-Link Router. I go through the wireless connection setup. I enter the network name. I select security strength. Then i get to a page that says:
—————————————————————————————–
Once you have selected your security level – you will need to set a wireless security password. With this password, a unique security key will be generated.
Wireless Security Password:< T E X T F E I L D >
(2 to 20 characters)
Note: You will need to enter the unique security key generated into your wireless clients enable proper wireless communication – not the password you provided to create the security key.

Then I press save and it reboots.
It says it will generate a key. But it never tells me it. How do I get my key?
go back into your routers settings and click on the wireless option and then on security and that should show your key! along with what security you’re using for example WPA-PSK, WPA2, WEP etc.
