wireless router not connecting to desktop

My Netgear wireless router I am not connecting to the Internet.

I have Netgear router and a wireless model MR814v2 wireless laptop cad model v521. I have a desktop computer connected to the wireless router via ethernet cable and the Internet on the desktop works fine. My connection is read laptop is connected and has a good signal but no web pages will show. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am running Windows XP Professional. I speak as a team so that everyone please keep your answers as simple as possible. It can also provide all the measures so tell me what to do.

I had the same problem. Call people from Netgear. I do not know how to talk computer.
